Scope of our gas supply work
KAF Industries coordinates the supply of industrial, specialty, medical and food grade gases between producers and industrial users. We do not operate air separation units. We work on the commercial and logistical side: matching a requirement to a producer that can meet the purity and packaging specification, negotiating supply terms, and keeping deliveries predictable once a contract is running.
That covers the common industrial gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide, hydrogen and acetylene, the welding and laser mixtures built from them, and specialty products including nitrous oxide and higher purity grades used in laboratories and electronics.
Supply format matters as much as the gas itself. The same nitrogen requirement can be served by cylinder packs, a liquid tank with a vaporiser, or an on site generator, and the right answer depends on volume, purity and how the consumption varies through the year. We size that comparison before recommending a supply mode.
Purity grades and supply formats
Gas specifications are written as a purity grade and a packaging format. The table sets out the grades and formats that cover most industrial requirements.

Purity grade, moisture and hydrocarbon limits should be set by the application. Specifying a higher grade than the process needs is one of the most common and most expensive errors in gas procurement.

Gas supply is a recurring cost rather than a one off purchase, so the structure of the agreement usually matters more than the unit price quoted on day one.

Frequently asked questions
Do you produce the gases you supply?
No. We are a trading and sourcing company. Gases are produced by the plants we work with, and our role is specification, producer selection, commercial negotiation and delivery coordination. This keeps us independent of any single producer's network.
How do we know which purity grade we need?
The application sets the grade. Welding and cutting are normally served by 2.5 or 3.0 grades, while analytical instruments, electronics processes and some laboratory work require 5.0 or above. Paying for 5.0 where 3.0 is sufficient is a recurring and avoidable cost, so we check the requirement against the process before quoting.
When does liquid bulk supply become cheaper than cylinders?
The crossover depends on consumption and on how much cylinder handling and rental you are absorbing. As a general pattern, once a site is consuming cylinders continuously rather than occasionally, a liquid tank with a vaporiser starts to reduce cost per cubic metre. We model the comparison with your actual figures rather than a rule of thumb.
Can you supply gases with certificates of analysis?
Yes. Certificates of analysis, and pharmaceutical documentation for medical gases, are agreed as part of the supply terms and issued per batch where the application requires it.
Do you handle cylinders as well as bulk supply?
Yes. Cylinders, bundles, dewars and bulk tanks are all within scope, including the cylinder rental and return arrangements that come with returnable packaging.
Can you supply export markets rather than local delivery only?
Yes. Cross border supply is arranged with the relevant dangerous goods documentation and an agreed Incoterms rule, which is a routine part of our international trade work.
